  I have known Monica since 2005. When I ended up with a dangerous horse in my possession that had hurt a few people and had no self preservation Monica willingly took the horse in and boarded it at cost. She spent numerous hours working with him with the hopes that we could turn him into a sane horse. While she cared for him for over 4 years she supplied me with all of the bills the horse incurred (and there were many including nights of colic where she spent the night walking him and never complained) and ultimately when he injured himself (the injury would prove fatal but not until she spent many, many hours trying to treat him under a vets guidance) she dealt with the situation in a calm and professional manner . When he ultimately needed to be put down she also made arrangements for his burial. Never once did she complain about the four days that he basically required around the clock care nor did she ever ask me for a dime to compensate her for her time (and this occurred between Christmas and New Years). Never did she ask me for a dime for the training she did to make him people safe.
  Monica also helped me with a second horse, transporting her out of a bad situation in Vermont to her farm in New York. (this was a 14 hour trip). Again Monica spent many hours administering medications to the horse and never asked for compensation. She also spent a day taking the horse to Cornell and transporting it back to Connecticut for me.
  On many occasions I visited her farm unannounced. I found horses that were happy and well cared for. All of them looked well nourished, properly shod and happy. Most of the time there were well in excess of 20 horses whose groceries and farrier bills were paid out of Monica's pocket. Before Monica would buy shoes for herself she made sure all of the horses were shod and fed.
  I would not hesitate to send any of my horses to her for care. She is kind, hardworking and honest. While her few detractors armed with half of the information on many subjects write bad reviews here I suggest you ignore them and read the reviews people like me, who know Monica write. She is really a five star woman in every respect!
